NEW : Vacheron Constantin Patrimony Perpetual Calendar Ultra Thin Blue Dial

The blue dial extravaganza of 2019 continues, with Vacheron Constantin’s introduction of a new perpetual calendar ultra thin in pink gold with a dark blue dial. It joins the Midnight Blue Patrimony models, blue Overseas and ‘Petrol Blue’ FiftySix pieces introduced at the SIHH 2019.

The Patrimony Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin is not in and of itself a new model, having been around since 2011, and as is the case for the members of the Patrimony family, its handsome classicism has not aged at all. The general characteristics of this collection feature in the Perpetual Calendar Ultra Thin, such as the baton hands and the combination of circular minute markers with the applied hour markers, all in 18 carat 5N pink gold.

Functionally, the sunburst satin-finished the dial shows, along with the hours and minutes, the date at 3 o’clock, day of the week at 9 o’clock, month and leap year cycle status on a forty-eight month sub dial at 12 o’clock, and a pink gold champlevé enamel moon phase with a lapis lazuli sky at 6 o’clock. The hour markers and minute dots are all pink gold.

Through the sapphire crystal open case back you can see the ultra thin (4.05mm) automatic Calibre 1120 QP. Beating at 19,800VPH, it has a forty hour power reserve.

The 18 carat 5N pink gold case of this new blue Perpetual Calendar is 41mm with a thickness of 8.9mm and comes on a dark blue Mississippiensis alligator strap with a matching metal folding clasp.

The Vacheron Constantin Patrimony Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin with a midnight blue dial is priced at USD 78,000 and will be available only at Vacheron Constantin brand boutiques. It is worth noting that there has also been the launch of a new Overseas Perpetual Calendar Ultra Thin this year, with the same movement and same blue dial. It has an RRP of 79,500 EUR (including taxes).

POSTSCRIPT: If you are in the market for a blue-dialled perpetual calendar, this year is a good one for you, because there has also been the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak Selfwinding Perpetual Calendar, and the Jaeger-LeCOultre Master Ultra Thin Perpetual Enamel White Gold.
