Maker of some of the most recognisable travel cases ever to frequent luggage carousels, RIMOWA have now neatly nudged into a category of LVMH Group stablemates with the launch of their new watch case.

This is not a polycarbonate (transparent or otherwise) case but in the familiar grooved anodised aluminium, with a microfibre interior. The outer case slides open to reveal cushioned space for three watches, with an additional top cushion layer on top as protection.

Although it is intended to be a travel case for watches, it seems to me that for many, it might be more suited to being a case used at home that can also serve as a design feature for the many RIMOWA fans.

Designed in Germany and made in Italy, the Watch Case is 11.2cm (height) x 26.7cm (width) x 8.5cm (depth) and weighs 1.29 kgs.

With a price of AUD 2,969 it can be pre-ordered from November 10, 2020 and will be available on their website and in selected stores worldwide in December 2020. For those in Australia who are not near a RIMOWA, yes you can get it delivered to you.
