Following on from Girard-Perregaux’s blackened ‘Earth to Sky’ limited edition piece released earlier this year, they have now launched a similarly black and blue themed variant of their popular 1966 moon phase model.
Giving this collection stalwart a contemporary spin the case, in black DLC stainless steel, is 40mm and water resistant to 30m.
The dial is a graduated blue-black, and features hours, minutes, centre seconds, and a moon phase at six o’clock which has a date pointer with a red dot on day 31 to aid legibility. The hands are the already familiar curved leaf-style hands.
Through the sapphire case back is the automatic Girard-Perregaux Calibre GP03300-0115, which beats at 28,800VPH and has a power reserve of forty-six hours. It features circular-grained, chamfered and mirror-polished mainplate and bridges, blued screws, and a rotor with Côtes de Genève decoration.
Coming on a rubberised alligator leather strap with a matte black exterior and a matte blue interior and blue top-stitching and a matching black DLC steel buckle, the RRP is 8,950 CHF.
