Hot on the heels of their manual-wind P.1000 Radiomir 1940 models (PAM 574, PAM 575, PAM620) launched at Watches & Wonders 2015, Panerai is continuing its run of 42mm timepieces with the annoucement of a new Radiomir 1940 3 Days Automatic Acciaio 42mm, the PAM655, to be launched at SIHH 2016.
The most noticeable change is of course the colour of the dial, which is now white, with ivory Super-Luminova. Powered by the automatic (as it says on the dial – I would have voted in favour of leaving this off) Calibre P.4000 with its micro-rotor (three day power reserve), the new PAM655 is basically the PAM620 (also with the arguably superflous ‘automatic’ on the dial) in a different colour guise.
The case is polished stainless steel and it comes on a tan leather strap. Look out for live photos of this new piece from us in January 2016.
