NEW: Longines Conquest Heritage Central Power Reserve

Meet the latest addition to Longines Conquest Heritage family – the Central Power Reserve, a nod back to 1959 and released as a part of the brand’s celebration of seventy years of the Conquest name, which dates back to 1954.

The original power reserve model was notable for the unusual way, pioneered by the brand, in which it showed this function – two rotating discs in the centre of the dial, and was powered by the Longines Calibre 292.

Today’s new updated Conquest Power Reserve comes in a polished 38mm stainless steel case (water resistance of 50m) which has a mix of satin and polished finishing in three iterations – domed champagne, anthracite, or black dials.

Functionally, alongside the hours and minutes, are a central seconds, date window at 12 o’clock with a trapezoid frame, and the power reserve on two concentric rotating discs. It is easily read – the pointer indicates how many hours are left (the numbers on the outer disc), with the range from ‘64’ down to ‘0’.

Depending on the iteration, the outer disc has printed black or white indices. The polished hands are silver, yellow gold or rose gold, with Super-LumiNova. Baton-type seconds. The applied facetted hour markers are in the same matching metal. The circles are not just for the power reserve but also extend to the ring under the elongated hour markers. The ‘Conquest automatic’ on the dial is in the historical font.

Visible through the case back is the automatic Longines L896.5 which beats at 25,200 VPH and as you can see on the dial, a power reserve of 64 hours.

The Conquest Heritage Central Power Reserve comes on black or gray leather straps and has an Australian RRP of $6,325.
