Jaeger-LeCoultre has just introduced a new variant of the Master Control Chronograph Calendar whch was launched in 2020 in stainless steel and rose gold cases, both with silvered sunray-brushed dials.
The new model (Ref. Q413257J) is also in a 40mm-sized 18kt rose gold case (thickness of 12.05mm), but this time with a black sunray-brushed dial with an Azurage finish. The case features satin brushing on the sides and lugs, with a polished bezel, crowns and the bevelling on the lugs.
It is identical in form and function to the previous two models. The bi-compax chronograph takes a very traditional form, with the 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock and the running seconds sub dial at 9 o’clock, along with a central chronograph seconds hands. The moon phase and date indicator at 6 o’clock is balanced by the day and month windows at 12 o’clock. Around the circumference is a pulsometer scale in red on the flange. The numbers and hour markers are gilt.

Powering it is the same in-house automatic Calibre 759 which made its debut in the 2020 models, which has a base Calibre 751. With an open-worked rotor with the familiar ‘JL’, it beats at 28,800 VPH, features a column-wheel chronograph with vertical clutch, and has a power of 65 hours. Finishing includes Cotes de Genève and blued screws.

The new Jaeger-LeCoultre Master Control Chrongraph Calendar comes on a black alligator leather strap with an 18kt rose gold buckle and has an RRP of AUD 52,500.
