The latest launch from Jaeger-LeCoultre may be a precursor to celebrating ninety years of the Reverso in 2021, but it is also a nod to an earlier model from this year, the in both collection family and colour.
It is also familiar, as it is a variant of the Reverso Tribute Duoface on a Casa Fagliano strap. It is, however, both a limited edition and available only via Jaeger-LeCoultre boutiques. If you missed out on the popular model fromlast year or this colour/ metal combination is more to your liking, then this may tickle your fancy.
Variations on the theme of red/ ‘red wine’/ Bordeaux have been amongst the most popular Reverso special models in recent years. This one is in an 18kt rose gold case and red lacquered dial has been called burgundy. The case has the same size (47mm x 28.3mm x 10.3mm) and water resistance of 30m.
For those unfamiliar with the Reverso Tribute Duoface, it has a second time zone/ 24-hour day/ night indicator and thus, and a bigger movement. Inside is the manual-wind Jaeger-LeCoultre Caliber 854A/2, which beats at 21,600VPH and has a power reserve of forty-two hours.
The front/ main dial is sunray-brushed burgundy red lacquer with faceted applied gold hour markers, a small seconds at 6 o’clock, and dauphine hands. The second time zone dial is silvery grey with an opaline time display, contrasting Clous de Paris guilloché surrounding it, applied gold hour markers, and dauphine hands. The second time zone is adjusted by a small slider set into the top which is visible when the case is released to be flipped.
Casa Fagliano have gone with two materials for the strap – a mix of cordovan leather and canvas, with an 18kt rose gold pin buckle.
Limited to 190 pieces, the RRP for the new boutique-only burgundy Reverso Tribute Duoface Fagliano is AUD 37,400 (including taxes).
