“Living life in Hublot rainbow colours” is the refrain, and the GPHG have decided to do this, with the Big Bang One Click Rainbow as one the 2019 award’s pre-selected finalists in the ‘Jewellery’ category.
Hublot released a ‘double rainbow’ of watches in the form of the Big Bang Unico and Big Bang One Click Rainbow. The first of the two is a 45mm chronograph with a Unico movement and the latter, a time and date model. It is the latter that is the subject of today’s post.
The 99mm Big Bang case is in satin-brushed and polished 18 carat King Gold, with 473 colour gemstones, of which 48 baguette-cut ones are on the bezel and 307 on the dial. There are eight types of stones : rubies, pink sapphires, amethysts, blue sapphires, blue topazes, tsavorites, yellow sapphires, and orange sapphires.
The bezel has six H-shaped titanium screws and the lower bezel is black composite resin.
Inside is the automatic Calibre HUB1710 beating at 28,800VPH and with a power reserve of 50 hours.
Coming on a multi-coloured ‘gummy’ strap (a combination of rubber and alligator) with the patented ‘One Click’ interchangeable strap system on an 18 carat King Gold and black-plated titanium deployant clasp, the Reference 465.OX.9910.LR.0999 has an RRP of CHF 78,000 including taxes.
