Coinciding with the arrival in Australia a couple of days ago of the Queen’s Baton Relay, Longines, the Official Partner and Timekeeper of the XXI Commonwealth Games, has launched the Conquest V.H.P. Gold Coast 2018 Commonwealth Games special edition watch.
As the name states, it is part of the Conquestion collection of ‘peformance sports watches’. It will be in a 43mm stainless steel case with the Longines Quartz Calibre L288.2 movement that is already used in this collection family.
The black dial is enlivened by indices in a striking orange Super-LumiNova, the equally striking hands also have (blue) Super-LumiNova coating. The commemorative part of this watch will appear on the back, which will feature an engraving with the logo of the Gold Coast Games.
For those familiar with the Conquest range, you will also recognise the bracelet, which has a triple safety folding clasp.
