For a sort of change to the 2020 – 2021 colour trend, today’s post is about another green watch, but this time, a women’s model.
This latest addition to the popular De Ville Trésor features a dial made from a material that has found its way onto Omega’s dials before (see the Seamaster 300 Co-Axial Master Chronometer 41mm).
This new model is 36mm, with its case in 18K Moonshine™ gold. For those unfamiliar with it, it is a proprietary alloy that was introduced in 2019. As with other gold alloys used for watch cases, it is harder than using just gold, and in this instance, also a slightly lighter colour. For the new De Ville Trésor Malachite, the case also has 38 full-cut diamonds set into the sides of case and one in the crown, surrounded by an Omega flower in red liquid ceramic.
Underneath the domed sapphire crystal is, of course, the domed Malachite dial, with the curved striations in varying shades. The elongated Roman numerals are accompanied by diamond-polished hands in 18K Moonshine™ gold.
It is, however, a quartz watch. Behind the metallised case with a flower decoration and mirror effect is the Omega Calibre 4061, with a battery life of 48 months.
There are two strap options. You can get it either with an 18kt Moonshine™ gold Milanese mesh bracelet, which will set you back AUD 48,525. or on a green leather strap with gold buckle, which has an RRP of AUD 24,275.
