Glashütte Original were part of the start of the green theme last year, releasing the Panomatic Lunar Forest Green.
Now, they have released their SeaQ tool watch with what they are calling a ‘reed green’ colour which is a considerably darker and less vivid shade of green than that of the Panomatic.
The core features are recognisable – the stainless steel case is 39.5mm with a thickness of 12.1mm, with a water resistance of 200m. The uni-directional dive bezel has a green ceramic inlay whose colour matches that of the dial. The dial itself is lacquered, with applied numerals, indices, and hands that all have Super-LumiNova.
Behind the engraved case back is the automatic in-house Calibre 39-11, which beats at 28,800VPH and has a power reserve of 40 hours. Featuring a three-quarter plate with Glashütte striped finishing, it has a skeletonised rotor with the double G symbol associated with the brand.
The new SeaQ Reed Green is available on a stainless steel bracelet with a folding buckle, a black rubber strap with a pin buckle, or a grey synthetic strap with a pin buckle.
It has been launched first in North America, where it will be available exclusively until 30 April 2021, with the rest of the world to follow from 1 May 2021. The Australian price is AUD 13,450 on a strap, and AUD 15,300 AUD on a bracelet.
