The LVMH Group has confirmed the presence of its entire watch division (TAG Heuer, Hublot, and Zenith) at Baselworld 2020. However, Bvlgari have decided to withdraw from participation this year, although they have not ruled out future attendance.
With regards to the fair itself, Michel Loris-Melikoff, Managing Director of Baselworld, stated : “With regard to the Coronavirus, we are monitoring the evolution of the situation very closely with the authorities. To date, in Europe, all conferences and shows scheduled to be held around the same time frame as Baselworld 2020, are going ahead as planned (with no cancellations currently on record).”
Meanwhile, Baselworld 2020 will also see the first appearance of an auction house, with Phillips in Association with Bacs & Russo joining the fair. They will exhibit a selection of modern and vintage pieces from their spring auctions as well as watches on loan from private collectors, and will be situated in Hall 1.
