The crossover between watches and mobile phones, about which we have previously posted continues, with the launch by Russian phone case company Caviar of a line that adds a mechanical watch feature to the back of an iPhone XS or XS Max I.
The new ‘Grand Complications Skeleton’ case is a highly ornamental engraved adornment to your iPhone that has the added feature of a watch embedded into it, complete with a crown. The eponymous skeleton is in fact, a skeletonised 6498-1 movement.
If this type of conspicuous consumption is your thing, the Grand Complications Skeleton is sold with an iPhone XS or iPhone XS Max and is available in three metals. The price of a pink gold model starts at €5,620, titanium starts at €5,470, and the black and gold version has a entry price of €6,210. I say ‘entry’ because there are storage size options, of course.
