Swatch are getting into glasses. As in spectacles, sunglasses and the like.
A new partnership has been announced between Italian eyewear makers Safilo and Swatch Ltd to create Swatch-branded eyewear. To be launched in spring 2016, its tagline will be ‘I always want more looks’, which makes sense within the broader Swatch approach. Called ‘Swatch The Eyes’, I guess we can maybe expect some matching watch/ sunglasses sets in the near future?
For those wondering, the Safilo Group has a wholly owned distribution network across thirty-nine countries and their portfolio includes Carrera, Polaroid, Smith, Safilo, Oxydo, Dior, Dior Homme, Fendi, Gucci, Banana Republic, Bobbi Brown, BOSS, BOSS Orange, Céline, Fossil, Givenchy, HUGO, J.Lo by Jennifer Lopez, Jack Spade, Jimmy Choo, Juicy Couture, Kate Spade, Liz Claiborne, Marc Jacobs, Marc by Marc Jacobs, Max Mara, Max&Co., Pierre Cardin, Saks Fifth Avenue and Tommy Hilfiger.
