In case you haven’t had enough of Russians and expensive watches, the folks at Russian website RBC have helpfully put together a gallery that they have called ‘Switzerland vs Russia’, with photos of officials/ politicians/ heads of state-owned companies and their watches at this link.

Perhaps the most unexpected match-up is that of Ramzan Kadyrov, the head of the Chechen Republic, who is seen wearing no less than a Greubel Forsey Tourbillon 24 Secondes Contemporain Platinum. He has previously been spotted wearing a Bovet of some description.

What other brands make an appearance? Rolex, Breguet (naturally), Chanel, ToyWatch, Graham, Patek Philippe, Blancpain, Romain Jerome, Dubey & Schaldenbrand, Glashutte Original, Sturmanskie, Panerai, Longines, ‘Rocket’ and yes, even an Apple watch.

The website is in Russian, but if you stick the URL into Google Translate/ hit this link, you can read the details of each politician, their watch and, naturally, their income status…
