Frederique Constant is a well-known brand that somehow still manages to stay under the radar of many people for certain things – the biggest of these certain things is an affordable perpetual calendar with an in-house movement.
Launched in 2016, the Classic Perpetual Calendar Manufacture is now in an updated version but still at an incredible price point. This new version comes in a smaller 40mm stainless steel case with slimmer lugs, thickness of 12.14mm and water resistance of 50m. The almost coppery salmon dial has a sunburst finish for the main dial (snailed for the sub dials) and the hour and minute hands are polished steel.
Powering it is a new in-house movement. The Calibre FC-776 beats at 28,800 VPH and has a power reserve of three days. Finishing includes perlage, blued screws, and circular Côtes de Genève.
The new Frederique Constant Classic Perpetual Calendar Manufacture comes on a brown alligator strap with a folding clasp and has an Australian RRP of 19,800.
