Ressence has launched its first GMT – the Type 7 comes with an integrated bracelet (also a first) and the launch model comes in two colours – Night Blue and the limited edition XV Aquamarine, whose limitation number is in the name.
The case is 41mm (14mm thick) with 50m water resistance. In grade 5 titanium with a fixed bezel, the titanium bracelet has a deployant clasp with five adjustable positions. There is an optional leather or rubber strap. The Night Blue variant has a ceramic bezel, whereas the XV Aquamarine’s isn aluminium. The second time zone is indicated via a red arrow on a dial.
The convex grade 5 titanium dial has the patented ROCS 7 display three satellites for the functions/ indications of hours, GMT, runner, and oil temperature as well as the GMT. The engraved indications are filled with Super-LumiNova. The upper chamber of the dual chamber watch has 2.95ml of oil and the indicator on the dial indicates, via colours from deep blue to green to yellow to red, similar to a traffic light, whether or not the oil is within the optimal range.
As per usual, the new TYPE 7 has the case back mechanism called the Compression Lock System (RCLS) which locks and compresses the gasket with two positions: ‘lock’ and ‘set’.
The TYPE 7 is powered by patented ROCS 7 which beats at 28,800 VPH and has a power reserve of 36 hours.
Ressence’s new TYPE 7 GMT watch has an RRP of CHF 36,000 (excluding taxes) for both colour variants.
