There are two new Senator Excellence Panorama Date Moonphase models from Glashütte Original. With frosted silver and frosted copper dials inspired by the mineral deposits of the Ore Mountains (frosted dials are attractive, regardless of whether they are inspired by anything), the new pieces come in 40mm stainless steel cases (12.mm thick) with water resistance of 50m and a mix of satin and polished finishing.

The dial base onto which the fine-grained frosted embossed is applied is galvanic silver. The applied markers are blue-coated gold and diamond polished, as are the Roman numerals. The hands are polished blued steel and the seconds hand has the GO double-G. At 4 o’clock is the panorama date of the name, and the moonphase is between 10 o’clock and 11 oçlock.

Through the open case back you can see the automatic Glashutte Original in-house Calibre 36-24 which beats at 28,800 VPH and has a power reserve of 100 hours.

Coming on either a stainless steel bracelet with folding clasp or on a blue Louisiana alligator leather strap with a steel pin buckle or folding clasp, the Glashütte Original Senator Excellence Panorama Date Moonphase “Frosted” has an Australian RRP of $18,700 on the strap and $20,200 on a bracelet. You can also get a fabric strap with steel folding clasp (for an additional amount).
