NEW: Hanhart 415 ES Pure Chronograph

Released by Hanhart in 2024, the launch model of a 1960s reissue – the 415 ES Iconic – is now joined by a new variant which modernises the original design through a colour change. The 415 ES Pure swaps the vintage colours of the first model with black and white, the yellow features are now black, the gold-bronze hands now white lacquered, and the Super-LumiNova is also no longer in keeping with the faux vintage aesthetics, but white.

The 39mm case (13.5mm thick) of this new piece is a mix of brushed and polished stainless steel with water resistance of 100m. It features a fluted bi-directional 60-minute track bezel (the original was the first use of a bidirectional bezel for Hanhart) with black ceramic inlay bezel. As with the 415 ES Iconic, the screw-down case back shows the brand’s 1960s ‘winged h’ logo.

The use of the winged logo on the dial debuted in the 1960s, and this new 415 ES Pure has the same 1960s features of last year’s 415 ES iconic – the vintage chronograph pushers, winged-h crown, and the printed tachymetre and 1/100th scale on the black dial. Alongside the central chronograph seconds are a sub seconds at 9 o’clock and 30-minute counter at 3 o’clock. The minute and stop-second hands have curved tips.

Powering the 415 ES Pure is the manually-wound Sellita SW510M – not being automatic means a tick in its favour for vintage chronograph enthusiasts. It beats at 28,800 VPH and has a power reserve of 58 hours.

Coming on either a black, dark brown, or light brown calf strap with Alcantra lining, the Hanhart 415 ES Pure chronograph has an RRP of EUR 2,390 and can be purchased directly from the brand at this link.
