NEW: Swatch x Blancpain Bioceramic Scuba Fifty Fathoms PINK OCEAN

January 2024 saw the introduction of the Blancpain x Swatch ‘Ocean of Storms’, which was a follow up to the multi-reference launch collection of the two brands’collaboration a year earlier.

Now we have another new colour and reference to the Bioceramic Scuba Fifty Fathoms series. In various shades of pink, all bold, the Bioceramic Scuba Fifty Fathoms PINK OCEAN reinforces its Swatch rather than Blancpain, dominated identity. The full collection now consists of eight references.

As per the previous models, the colour scheme chosen for this new watch is linked to a nudibranch – Ceratodoris rosacea (aka Hopkin’s rose).

The Bioceramic case is 42.3mm (14.4mm thick) and has a unidirectional 60-minute scale bezel made from Bioceramic with a bio-sourced glass insert. “Swatch” is inscribed on the outer left side of the case.

The dial has a sun-brushed finish and a date window with dial-matched pink background between 4 and 5 o’clock. The numerals, markers and hands are all pink but also coated with Super-LumiNova.

The Pink Ocean is again powered by the automatic SISTEM51. Visible through the open case back, it features a digital print of pink-hued water and the Ceratodoris rosacea. Five inscriptions whose origins are not specified are also of the watch, encircling the sapphire glass: “PASSION FOR DIVING – LICENCE TO EXPLORE – OCEAN BREATH – PROTECT WHAT YOU LOVE and IMMERSE YOURSELF.” If you wish to immerse yourself in the water, water resistance for this watch is 50 fathoms (91m / 300ft / 9 bar).

The Swatch x Blancpain Bioceramic Scuba Fifty Fathoms PINK OCEAN comes on a two-piece NATO-style strap made from recycled fishing nets with a pink Bioceramic pin buckle and loops. With an Australian RRP of $655, it will be available from selected Swatch stores from 1 February 2025.
