Porsche Design has shown that it intends to stay in the watch game with its purchase for former Eterna headquarters in Grenchen for its new watch manufactory, not far from the current production site in Solothurn.

Once renovated, this new larger site will allow Porsche Design to expand both R&D and production as well as house after-sales service and a warehouse. There will also be an exhibition space and an are dedicated to events. The renovation work will commence in October 2024, and completion date will be in the third quarter of 2024.

Stefan Buescher, CEO of the Porsche Lifestyle Group, states that :

“By investing in the new building, we are taking another significant step on our successful path and underlining our strategy of solidying Porsche Design as a watch manufacturer. Our primary aim remains to develop exceptional and individually configurable timepieces that typify functionality, innovation, and the highest quality, thereby embodying the unmistakable DNA of Porsche Design.”
