NEW: Raymond Weil Millésime Chronograph & Millésime Moonphase

Following on from the last post about the new (old) Angelus Instrument de Vitesse Monopusher Chronograph, which is part of their vintage-inspired La Fabrique collection, we are continuing with theme of modern versions of old pieces today, with two new additions to Raymond Weil’s vintage-inspired Millésime collection family. These models will form part of a launch of eleven new collection pieces that the brand will launch at Watches & Wonders Geneva 2024.

Today’s new models consist of a chronograph and a moonphase.

First up, the new 7765 Chronograph. The stainless steel case is 39.5mm (thickness of 12.9mm and water resistant to 50m. They have gone with a sector dial in either ‘midnight blue’ or black, with black or silver sub dials according to the variant, and the hour/ minute hands have Super-LumiNova. The tachymeter scale is ‘base 1000’, and there is a classic graduated minutes scale.

Alongside the hours and minutes on the tricompax dial are a sub seconds at 9 o’clock, and the chronograph totalisers at 3 o’clock and 6 o’clock.

Powering it is the automatic Raymond Weil RW5030 (base movement is the Sellita SW510) which beats at 28,800 VPH and has a power reserve of 56 hours.

The new Millésime Chronograph comes on a colour-matched calf strap in either black or ‘midnight blue’, on a pin buckle, and RRP is CHF 3,450.

Secondly, there is a new Millésime Moonphase that comes in two case metal options – stainless steel, or stainless steel rose gold PVD, and two sizes – 35mm (thickness of 9.9mm) or 39.5mm (thickness of 10mm), both with water resistance of 50m. There will also be one with sixteen lab-grown diamonds (0.26 carats) at a later date.

The 39.5 mm models in stainless steel cases, onewith rose gold PVD treatment, and have a water resistance of 50m. Their dials have brushed and nickel-plated hands, hands and indicies with Super-LumiNova and water resistance of 50m.

On the sector dial there are the same railroad minute track, and alongside the hours and minutes are a central seconds hand (basically the Millésime Automatic), with the moonphase of the name at 6 o’clock in the form of an Art Deco-inspired image. The two smaller models have Arabic numbers.

The 35mm version in steel comes with a denim blue dial, while the rose gold PVD gets a silver dial. The 39.5mm models come with a silver or midnight blue dial.

Powering all four is the automatic Raymond Weil RW4280 (Sellita SW280 base) which beats at 28,800 VPH and has a power reserve of 38 hours.

The Millésime Moonphase will come on either a navy blue or gray calf strap with either a stainless steel or rose gold PVD pin buckle.

Available from October 2024, the Millésime Automatic Moonp hase in steel is priced at CHF 2,125, the two rose gold PVD models will be CHF 2,225, and the lab diamond 35mm model will be CHF 2,450.
