NEW: H. Moser Streamliner Perpetual Calendar Concept Smoked Salmon

It being February 29, this new piece is obviously going to be related to this date. Meet H.Moser & Cie.’s new Streamliner Perpetual Calendar Concept Smoked Salmon, whose availability is limited to during this one (leap) year.

The watch puts the distinctive purity of Moser’s Perpetual Calendar Concept into the more recent Streamliner form rather than its original more traditional take. Lovers of luxury steel sports watches with integrated bracelets who want a non classically dressy perpetual – this is in your field.

The model’s name alludes to its smoked salmon fumé Concept dial, which has the vertically brushed griffé finish that the brand only uses for special editions. The case is stainless steel, measuring 42.3mm with a thickness of 11mm and water resistance of 120m. The screw-down crown at 4 o’clock has the Moser ‘M’ engraved on it.

With an instantaneous date change for the big date at 4 o’clock, the four hands at the centre are for the hours, minutes, seconds, and the months. The hour and minute hands have Globolight inserts and the small central month hand indicator is framed in red. There is a power reserve indicator at around 10 o’clock, and the leap year indication is visible through the open case back.

Powering it is the manually-wound HMC 812. Featuring a double barrel, it beats at 18,000 VPH and has a power reserve of seven days. The mainplate, stop lever and week wheel bridge feature micro-blasted laser finishing and anthracite rhodium-plating. The balance bridge, train wheel bridge, barrel bridge, and escapement plate have anthracite PVD finish, and there are screwed gold mounts.

Coming on an integrated stainless-steel bracelet with a folding clasp with three steel blades, the new H.Moser & Cie. Streamliner Perpetual Calendar Concept Smoked Salmon has an RRP of CHF 49,900.
