NEW: Piaget Polo Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin

Yes, it’s another new ultra thin perpetual calendar, only this time from the brand synonymous with ultra thin watches – Piaget. Also – more green.

Not, as some might assume when first hearing the words ‘ultra thin’ and ‘Piaget’ in the Altiplano collection, but for the first time a perpetual calendar is appearing in the Polo collection.

The familiar Polo case is in stainless steel, and measures 42mm with a thickness of 8.6mm. It is water resistant to 30m.

The perpetual calendar is obviously not unfamiliar to Piaget. The new automatic in-house ultra thin (4mm) Calibre 1255P derives from the 120P movement, with a perpetual calendar and moon phase added to it. It beats at 21,600 VPH and has a power reserve of 42 hours. The finishing includes Cotes de Genève, circular graining and wheels with sunburst motif. There are blued screws on the bridges and of course the engraved Piaget coat-of-arms on a blued micro-rotor.

The Piaget Polo Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin has a dark green guilloché dial with applied indices and Super-LumiNova on both the hands and indices. The dial has a gadroon pattern and three sub dials for the year, month (with a leap year indication), retrograde day of the week, date, and a moon phase at 6 o’clock.

Coming on a stainless steel bracelet with folding clasp, you also get a second interchangeable green rubber strap with steel deployant. The RRP is AUD 89,000 (including taxes).
