Once again, Longines has reliably come up with a handsome heritage-inspired chronograph model. This time, the new Record Heritage Chronograph is also the first such chronograph in this collection family.
The new model comes in a 40mm-sized (13.8mm thick) stainless steel case with rectangular chronograph pushers and is water resistant to 30m.

Behind the open case back can be seen the automatic COSC-certified Calibre L895.4 which beats at 28,800VPH and has a power reserve of 59 hours. It is based on the ETA 2892-A2, but this particular tweaking is making its first appearance in a Longines watch.
The dial is matte black, with applied gilt Arabic numerals and indices and gilt leaf-shaped hands. The small seconds is at 3 o’clock and the 30-minute counter at 9 o’clock.

The new Record Heritage Chronograph is available on either a brown leather strap with ecru stitching or a bracelet with triple folding clasp. The Australian RRP is $4,650 for either model.
