Last year H.Moser & Cie released the Heritage Perpetual Calendar Midnight Blue Enamel, a rather gorgeous variant of their approach to perpetual calendars in a 42mm white gold case with a blue grand feu enamel dial with a fumé effect.
Now, they have created two new versions of the 42mm white gold Endeavour Perpetual Calendar with blue fumé sun ray dials – the first is an updated version of the Endeavour Perpetual Calendar Funky Blue with the Moser logo in transparent lacquer, and the second is the Endeavour Perpetual Calendar Tutorial, a commemorative special edition (20 pieces) whose dial is decorated with notes and snippets of explanations/ drawings relating to the watch.
A quick explanation for those unfamiliar with Moser’s minimalist and very user friendly take on this complication – along with the hours, minutes, small seconds, and large date window, the month indicator is via a small truncated central hand (the twelve hour markers doing double duty for the twelve months), and there is a power reserve indicator at 9 o’clock. The leap year indicator is, like the other Moser Perpetual Calendars, on the movement side.
The date changes instantaneously at midnight, and both the day and month can be set forwards or backwards. Furthermore, the movement switches directly to 1 March at midnight of the leap day.
the Funky Blue fumé dial is enhanced by a sunburst pattern and white gold leaf-shaped hands and applied indices. The small seconds subdial is elegantly displayed at 6 o’clock.
Visible through the open case back, both of these new Perpetual Calendars use the manually-wound Calibre HMC 800, which beats at 18,000 VPH and has a power reserve of seven days. This is the same movement as the one in the Heritage Perpetual Calendar Midnight Blue Enamel model mentioned above and has the Moser double stripes.
Both models come on hand-stitched beige kudu straps with a white gold folding clasp.
The H. Moser & Cie. Endeavour Perpetual Calendar Funky Blue has a price of CHF 54,000 and the limited edition Endeavour Perpetual Calendar Tutorial Limited Edition is CHF 59,000.
