In some ways, time has become both something of which we are more acutely aware and simultaneously something from which many feel disconnected from at present, but it was only at the beginning of this month that Geneva Watch Days was launched by a number of brands as a response to the cancellations of both Watches & Wonders Geneva 2020 (previously known as the SIHH) and Baselworld 2020.
It was only some two weeks ago that Switzerland initiated some major COVID-19 measures, and if a week is a long time in politics, it is easily as long in the time of a global pandemic.
Now, as expected, Geneva Watch Days has announced that the dates have now changed. It will now take place between 26 – 29 August, 2020. The launch brands mentioned are still taking part and the structure remains, at this time, the same – it will take part across Geneva hotels and boutiques.
The ‘founding brands’ are Breitling, Bvlgari, De Bethune, Girard-Perregaux, H.Moser & Cie, MB&F, Ulysse Nardin, and URWERK.
