Mühle-Glashütte has launched a new watch in partnership with the AOPA (Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association), the world’ largest association for aviation enthusiast and pilots. The AOPA AeroSport is a limited edition (500 pieces) watch created to mark the organisation’s 80th year.
A jet black dial is emblazoned with the AOPA logo. There are red markings at the quarter hours and a red tipped minute hand. All hands and indices are coated with Super-LumiNova. The aviation references on the dial are a triangular PIP indicator at the bezel that can be used to calculate elapsed time or as a fixed GMT function.
Water resistant to 10 bars, the 42.3mm sized case is stainless steel with a brushed finish and coin-edge bezel and screw-in crown. Behind the sapphire open case back is Inside is the automatic SW 200-1 Mühle Version movement with a patented woodpecker neck regulation, stop second function, and a royal blue rotor with AOPA’s 80th Anniversary logo. The power reserve is 38 hours.
The limited edition Mühle-Glashütte AOPA AeroSport comes on a calf strap with a stainless steel pin buckle and has a price of USD 1,499 for AOPA members and an RRP of USD 1,899. You can buy it directly from the brand’s site at this link.
