There have been many changes to the Salon International de la Haute Horlogerie in the past three years, from the addition of the Carré des Horlogers and brand expansion to the introduction of public days. These are continuing, with the announcement of significant changes for the SIHH 2019.
In a nutshell it will be shorter but with longer days, and there will be a restricted access day on Sunday.
The Salon will shrink from five days to four, with next year’s fair taking place between 14-17 January, 2019. As well, the opening hours will now be from 0830 to 2000 from Monday to Wednesday, but with the Thursday ‘public day’ having extended opening hours until 2200.
On the Sunday afternoon before the official opening, the exhibiting brands will have the opportunity to invite selected customers to a preview of their new collections.
Next year will see a total of 35 exhibitors, of whom 17 will be in the Carré des Horlogers. The latest new participating brand will be Bovet. There will also be the expansion of the programme of talks and panel discussions about horology and the watchmaking industry.
