To celebrate the 50th anniversary of the De Ville collection in 2017, Omega has released a very classical set of three 39.5mm models featuring white enamel dials with ‘red 12s’. It is available in polished white gold, yellow gold, and red gold iterations.
On the white enamel dial are black Arabic numeral hour markers and, interestingly, a railway minute track, with red markers on the track at 15/ 45/ 60 minutes. The lack of one at 30 minutes is down to the placement of a date window, that popular concession to modern homage models of vintage designs.
The vertically-brushed case back will feature an embossed image of the Greek god Chronos on a medalion and is engraved with ‘De Ville’ and ’50th Anniversary’.
Behind this case back resides the Chronometer graded automatic Calibre 2500 with a rhodium-plated finish and a power reserve of forty-eight hours. The case itself has a water resistance of 30m/ 3 bars.
Each of the different metals comes with a matching buckle in the same metal. The red gold and yellow gold models come on a brown leather strap and the white gold version, on a grey leather strap.
