Two personnel change reports today, with the departure of Daniel and Maria Reintjes from Christiaan van der Klaauw, and a new CEO for Laurent Ferrier.
First up is the news from Christiaan Van Der Klaauw, at which Daniel and Maria Reintjes arrived in 2009 after an existing collaborative relationship with Christiaan Van Der Klaauw himself turned into something more upon his retirement. They are the ones who are responsible for the brand and its strong identity as we know it now, with its focus on astronomical watches for themselves but also successfully for others (which we have covered), namely Van Cleef & Arpels.
With their departure, it will just be brand owner Pim Koeslag heading the brand. He became the majority shareholder of Christiaan van der Klaauw in 2022, after a long history that started with training as a watchmaker to a significant period at Frederique Constant, Alpina, and co-founding Ateliers deMonaco.
The second piece of industry news is Laurent Ferrier’s announcement of the appointment of Florent Perrichon as its new Chief Executive Officer. Mr Perrichon already has a history with the brand, having been a board member since 2013. He will work alongside founders Laurent Ferrier and François Servanin.
