IWC has added a new dial-colour variant to its Ingenieur collection, with a blue dial now available for the Ingenieur Automatic 40 model, the 2023 Inge makeover which was introduced last year.
Joining the already existing options with grey, silver-plated and aqua dials in either stainless steel or titanium cases, the new Automatic 40 Blue shares the same specs – a 40mm (in this instance stainless steel) case with thickness of 10.8mm, the classic bezel with five screws, integrated bracelet, and the distinctive tile-like alternating patterns dial which reminds me of old-fashioned marquetry floors. Dial with grid structure and applied blue color via PVD-coating.

The hands are rhodium-plated and both the hands and markers have Super-LumiNova.
With a screw-down crown and water resistance of 100m, the case and bracelet feature a mix of polished and satin finishing.

Beneath the solid caseback is the automatic IWC Cal. 32111 which beats at 28,800 VPH and has a power reserve of five days.
Coming on a stainless steel with a butterfly folding clasp, the IWC Ingenieur Automatic 40 Blue has an Australian RRP of 17,300.
