Let’s move from a lot of ‘old gold’ to a lot of ‘new gold’, with Audemars Piguet’s new Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin Greater China Limited Edition.
The ultra-thin 41mm RD#2 was launched in platinum as a concept in 2018. In 2019 the brand launched the Royal Oak Selfwinding Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin RD#2 which was a mix of platinum and titanium. It was then followed by a titanium model limited to two hundred pieces.
Now, Audemars Piguet has a special limited edition in 18k yellow gold that retains the 6.2mm thickness.
The functions are the same – alongside the hours and minutes are a perpetual calendar with night and day indication, day, date, month, leap year indicator, and moon phase. The yellow gold-toned dial, which has yellow gold hour markers and lumed hands, has vertical brushing on the main dial.

It is again powered by the ultra-thin automatic Calibre 5133 aka RD#2 which is just 2.9mm thin, beats at 19,800 VPH, and has a power reserve of 40 hours.
Coming on an 18k yellow gold bracelet with a mix of satin-brushed and polished finishing, the Royal Oak Perpetual Calendar Ultra-Thin 41mm Yellow Gold 26586BA will be available exclusively in Greater China in a limitation of eighty-eight pieces with the RRP POA.
