Glashütte Original has launched a new case metal and dial colour combination to its Senator Chronometer collection, with a white gold case and grey dial model joining the two current models (white gold with a blue dial, and red gold with a silver dial).
The new reference is the same size as the other two – 42mm, with a thickness of 11.40mm and water resistance of 50m.
Alongside the hour and minutes there is a recessed small seconds sub dial at 6 o’clock, the brand’s Panorama Date at 3 o’clock and a power reserve at 12 o’clock (where there is also a small AM/ PM indication).

The galvanised grey dial is silver-plated with matte finishing, a railroad chapter ring, and the scales and text are printed in blue. The applied Roman numerals are 750 gold and the date is white on a blue background (like the white gold and blue dial variant), which means that unlike the other two existing model variants, Glashütte Original decided not to continue having the background of the date window matched to the same colour as the dial.

Inside is the in-house manually wound Calibre 58-08 which beats at 28,000VPH and has a power reserve of 44 hours. Silver-plated galvanised gray, it features a Glashütte three-quarter plate with striped finishing, hand-engraved balance cock
Coming on a blue Louisiana alligator strap with an 18kt white gold clasp, Glashütte’s new Senator Chronometer is now available and has an Australian RRP of $48,400.
