HUBLOT: Big Bang Integrated Tourbillon Full Carbon

One of Hublot’s Big Bang novelties this year is the Integrated Tourbillon Full Carbon, in an extremely light carbon fibre and Texalium case with integrated strap.

The case is 43mm with a thickness of 14.5mm and water resistance of 30m. The case back is micro-blasted black-plated titanium. Hublot has covered the carbon fibre case with Texalium, which combines a fibreglass core with a thin top layer of aluminum. The fibreglass is integrated in a special resin to provide impact resistance and scratch-resistance. The watch (without the strap) weighs 42g. The crown has a rubber insert.

The brand has created a special open-worked back plate for this new model, combining the carbon fibre and Texalium with the automatic in-house Calibre HUB 6035 which beats at 21,600 VPH and has a power reserve of 72 hours. You can see right through the sapphire crystal on both sides.

The skeletonised tourbillon is integrated within a bottom plate which has sapphire bridges. There is also a micro-rotor in this movement.

Limited to 50 numbered pieces, it comes on a carbon fibre and Texalium integrated strap with a black-plated deployant that weighs 26g. Each link is individually machined and finished. The Australian RRP is $176,000.
