Green is still a thing, including for Laurent Ferrier, who added a duo of ‘Evergreen’ dial watches to their offerings.
The Square Micro-Rotor Evergreen and the Classic Micro-Rotor Evergreen are the latest additions to the brand’s Micro-Rotor collection share a deep green dial.
The familiar Square Micro-Rotor cushion case is stainless steel and 41mm x 41mm. The Classic Micro-Rotor is in a red gold case with a diametre of 40mm. Both cases are 11.1mm thick and have water resistance of 30m.

Basically, the difference is just in the casing. For both new models, the deep green dial has a vertically satin-brushed finish, with drop-shaped indices, the familiar Laurent Ferrier Assegai-shaped hands, and a small seconds sub dial at 6 o’clock. One obvious point of difference is that the indices and hands are 18k white gold for the Square model and 18k red gold for the Classic model.

Visible through the open case backs of both variants is the automatic Laurent Ferrier Calibre FBN 229.01, featuring the micro-rotor of the name. It beats at 21,600VPH and has a 72-hour power reserve.

The new Laurent Ferrier Evergreen watches are available now with the Square Micro-Rotor Evergreen CHF 47,500 CHF and the Classic Micro-Rotor CHF57,500. These two new models are colour/ metal variations on well-known models, so within the ‘green spectrum’ offerings of recent years it is all down to a matter of personal preference. Full disclosure that mine is for darker rather than lighter hues.
