Is green still a ‘thing’? Well it appears so, as it is one of the two new colours chosen by Perrelet for its Turbine line. Alongside green is the never-out-of-fashion blue.
The Carbon Midnight Blue and Carbon Forest Green both come in a 44mm-sized polycarbonate and carbon fibre case bezel and case back matte black PVD-coated steel. The case band is fluted and water resistance is 100m.

The eponymous turbine is made of black anodised aluminium. It has twelve blades with five tungsten counterweights. For those unfamiliar with it, the turbine is inspired by an aeroplane propeller. It is not connected to the barrel and is a for design rather than functional, purposes. When it spins, it reveals the green or blue sub dial. However there is something called the Double Rotor technology which means that there are two rotors in the movement.
Green or blue appears on the hour ring and minute flange. The Arabic numerals and indices are white on the blue model and beige on the green model, and there is Super-LumiNova on both of these as well.

Powering the Turbine Carbon Forest Green and Midnight Blue is the automatic COSC-certified Calibre P-331-MH, beating at 28,800 VPH and with a power reserve of 42 hours. It has an open-worked and rhodium-plated oscillating weight, circular graining on the bridges, and colimaçon decoration on the mainplate.

Both new watches come on a colour-matched calf strap with rubber lining. The folding clasp is black PVD treated stainless steel. There is a second strap which is black rubber.

The RRP for the new Perrelet Turbine Carbon Forest Green or Midnight Blue is EUR 4,750.
