NEW: Zenith DEFY Skyline Skeleton

One year after the launch of the DEFY Skyline collection, Zenith has launched a new addition to the collection family – the Skyline Skeleton features a 1/10th of a second indicator on its star-shaped openworked dial with four stars, a nod to the 1960s Zenith logo.

The 41mm stainless steel case is satin-brushed, drawing inspiration from the octagonal design of the 1960s Defys, with twelve sides to match the hour markers and water resistance of 100m. The open dial comes in black or blue, with the skeletonised El Primero movement finished in the same colour as the open dials. The hour markers and hour and minute hands are filled with Super- LumiNova.

The chapter ring on the open dial has rhodium-plated and faceted applied hour markers are filled with Super-LumiNova, as are the rhodium-plated and faceted central hour and minute hands.

The constantly running 1/10th of a second counter is at 6 o’clock, completing one revolution every 10 seconds. The skeletonised movement that dominates both front and back is the high-frequency automatic El Primero calibre 3620 SK, beating at 5Hz/ 36,000 VPH and with a power reserve of 60 hours. It has a silicon escape-wheel and lever, a stop-second, and is finished in the same colour as the dial.

The DEFY Skyline Skeleton comes on a steel bracelet with a satin-brushed surface with chamfered and polished edges, but you also get a second colour-matched rubber strap with a steel folding buckle.

The Australian RRP of the new Zenith Defy Skyline Skeleton is AUD16,100.
