NEW: ochs und junior Settimana Seasons Capsule Collection

Ochs und junior recently launched the settimana seasons capsule collection, with ‘spring’ as the first model. It is the second settimana design from Cajetana Oechslin, following the settimana next. The four seasons’ colours are light green for summer, light orange for autumn, light blue for winter and light pink for spring. Each piece can be bought separately, or as a set of four.

Available in either 36 mm or 40 mm grade 5 titanium cases with a water resistance of 50m, delivery of spring is expected to be late February to early March 2023, with the entire capsule to be available from March 31, 2023.

For those unfamiliar with the layout, along with the hours, minutes and seconds is a day of the week indication courtesy of a dot which rotates clockwise between 1 o’clock and 7 o’clock on the coloured brass dial.

The hour and minute hands have Super-LumiNova®, with the seconds measured by a slightly darker dial colour-matched hand. The day indicator dot continues the colour theme.

They are all powered by the automatic Sellita SW 200-1 which beats at 28,800 VPH and has a power reserve of 38 hours.

Coming on a 22mm black leather strap handmade by Sabina Brägger with a titanium pin buckle, and in a leather pouch also made by her, unlike many of ochs und junior’s other watches, these are not able to be customised.

A single watch will set you back CHF 2,500 (including taxes)/ CHF 2,300 (export) and the full capsule collection can be yours for CHF 9,000 (including taxes)/ CHF 8,350 (export). They can be ordered directly from ochs und junior. Seasonal influences aside, the light tone of all of the colours makes them all a bit summery to me, providing some cheer in the dark depths of a Swiss winter.
