Girard-Perregaux’s Laureato collection family has a new member in a 38mm (10mm thick) stainless steel case with a water resistance of 100m and a copper-coloured Clous de Paris dial.
The copper-coloured dial has a sunray effect, which gives it graduated colour and something to play with lighting wise. Both the markers and baton hour and minute hands are rhodium-plated and have Super-LumiNova. The sweep seconds hand is gold, and the GP logo is gold-plated.
Through the open case back is the automatic in-house Calibre GP03300-2034 with an 18kt gold oscillating weight which beats at 28,800 VPH and has a power reserve of 46 hours. The movement has a mix of mirror-polishing, satin-finishing, more sun ray, and Côtes de Genève.
Coming on a polished and satin-finished bracelet, the new Laureato Copper 38 will be available from December 2022 with n RRP of CHF 14,200/ EUR 15,000. With what may be a trend back towards sub-40mm watches again, this is a nice option for those who like the Laureato and those looking for a classic luxury sports watch of what is an easy size for most wrists.
