IWC has introduced new versions of their perennially popular Portugieser Automatic and the Portugieser Chronograph with white and blue dials. You know what you are getting with these models, so these two additions to the range are about colour combinations.
First up, the new Ref. IW500715 Coming in a 42.3mm case (thickness of 14.2mm), it has a water resistance of 30m.
The sub dials are highlighted in a deep blue – there is a power reserve indicator at 3 o’clock and small seconds at 9 o’clock. The familiar railway track chapter ring is around the circumference, and the Arabic numerals are blue.

Through the open case back can be seen the automatic IWC Calibre 52010 which beats at 28,800 VPH and has a power reserve of seven days.

Coming on a blue alligator strap with a folding clasp, the new Portugieser Automatic IW500715 has an RRP of AUD 18,800.
The new Portugieser Chronograph Ref. IW371620 is in a smaller stainless steel case – 41mm, with a thickness of 13.1mm. Water resistance is also 30m.

The blue sub dials in this case are, of course, a minute counter at 12 o’clock and small seconds at 6 o’clock. As is the case for the Portugieser Automatic, the hands are blue.

Powering it is the automatic Calibre 69355 column wheel chronograph movement which beats at 28,800 VPH and has a power reserve of 46 hours.

Coming on a blue rubber strap with a pin buckle, the RRP of this new Portugieser Chronograph is AUD 12,900.
