Green has not been a colour alien to Piaget in recent years. In fact there was a green Polo S released last year in a limited edition, but here we are in 2020 and green watches are a ‘thing’, so this new one fits neatly into this trend.
So what is different about this year’s version of this stalwart of the Piaget brand? Well this version has a steel bracelet with a folding clasp attached to its 42mm sized case, rather than last year’s matching green leather strap. They share the same dial, whose colour changes according to lighting levels and angles, but there is now the addition of rose gold on the indices and hands. There’s also a much larger production number – last year’s model was limited to 500 pieces but there are 888 pieces for this new variant.
Inside is the reliable automatic Piaget Calibre 1110P. It beats at 28,800VPH, has a power reserve of fifty hours, and features Côtes de Genève, a circular-grained mainplate, bevelled bridge, and an oscillating weight engraved with the Piaget coat of arms.
With a waterproofness of 100m, the RRP for the Piaget Polo S Green for 2020 is AUD 19,500/ CHF 12,300.

There are many large men’s watches nowadays from which to choose, which is a good thing. Even some ‘vintage’ inspired pieces nowadays are large.
