NEW: Sarpaneva Stardust

The watch world’s supreme ‘moon man’ Stepan Sarpaneva marks two decades since his Finnish watch adventure (with both his eponymous brand and successful side venture S.U.F. Helsinki) with two limited edition pieces – Stardust and Stardust Nostromo.

In a Korona case in Finnish Outokumpu stainless steel, the Stardust is 42mm with a thickness of 10mm and water resistant to 100m. The crown is at 4 o’clock.

The open-worked dials consist of seven hand-finished parts, The Stardust has a nod to the night sky in the form of the hand-flamed titanium base dial. The dial is hand-finished with DLC coating. There are multiple Super-LumiNova colours used across both models.

The Stardust Nostromo has hand-applied Tritec luminescence for its orange lumed numerals and a two-toned rocket seconds hand with Super-LumiNova, whereas the Stardust has a black-polished rocket ship hand and stencilled numerals.

Through the open case back of both Stardust variants is the modified Chronode Calibre P1003 which beats at 28,800 VPH and has a power reserve of 60 hours. It is rhodium-plated and matte finished. Happily, there is a moon here, in the form of the rotor.

Both the Stardust and Stardust Nostromo come on a matte black alligator leather strap with rubber lining and a stainless steel pin buckle.

In limited editions of twenty pieces each, the Stardust has an RRP of EUR 16,500 (without taxes)/ EUR 20,460 (with taxes). They can be purchased directly at this link.
